Financial services professional who joined Halifax Building society in 1988 to establish and grow a financial services channel. Progressed through Area and Regional management before becoming National Head of Sales running a team of circa 1,000 Advisors, Managers and support staff. In 2005 achieved £1Billion in new funds invested and year on year growth of 60% to become the Number 1 Bancassurer in the UK.

The Banking crisis of 2008 saw Halifax become part of the Lloyds Banking Group and in 2010 David moved from sales to Head of Operations, overseeing several business restructures during the merger of Halifax and Lloyds, a period requiring strong change management and leadership skills.

Further Details

David built a successful career through his strong leadership and colleague engagement, releasing people’s potential to deliver challenging business objectives. Creating a clear and compelling vision of future business goals and then communicating to staff in a way that encourages alignment and strong buy in to delivering those goals. David enjoys travel and exploring the world with his family. He has recently taken up field archery, a relaxing sport contrasting the tension of his other love, supporting his local football team Wycombe Wanderers.
